Abstract

This study was conducted in order to be leveraged as a basic data in planing and operating efficient clinical practices through analyzing stress factors that dental hygienists were experiencing from trainees during clinical practices. The following results were obtained from analyzing some dental hygienists using SPSS 20.0 for 227 copies, who were working at dental university hospitals, general hospitals, dental hospitals and dental clinics of Seoul and Gyeonggi-do where the clinical practices were being conducted by the dental hygiene studentsÀÇ clinical practice. 1. There were 41.9% of ¡°Satisfied¡±, 55.5% of ¡°Neutral¡± and 2.6% of "Dissatisfied". Of those "Satisfied", the group of 1~2 year students and the group of 6~10 year students had a high degree of satisfaction with 27.4%; of ¡°Neutral¡±, the group of 3~5 year students had the highest percentange with 31.0%. 2. Upon analyzing differences of the stress types that the subjects of this study felt, role and activity was the highest with 26.17, and personal relationship (20.82), behavior and attitude (20.63), areas of medical treatment (12.60), ideal and value (10.61) followed. It was shown that there was a significant difference per between role and activity, ideal and value and areas of medical treatment per class year. 3. Upon analyzing the correlation between the stress areas, it was shown that there was the positive correlation between the stress sections of behavior and attitude, personal relationship, role and activity, ideal and value, areas of medical treatment. 4. Upon analyzing the impact of the stress factors on the degree of satisfaction,, it was shown that the stress sections of role and activity (p=.002<.01), ideal and value (p=.019<.05), areas of medical treatment (p=.032<.05) had an impact on the degree of satisfaction; the stress sections of behavior and attitude (p=.386>.05), personal relationship (p=.421>.05) did not have an impact on the degree of satisfaction.
